Who we are
CGU Clipboard ("the app") is made by Be the Aloha LLC ("we", "us"). This policy covers the app on Google Play, the Apple App Store and the web, and this website, cguapp.com. Questions go to support@cguapp.com.
Who the app is for
The app is for adult coaches (18 and over) to manage their teams. It is not made for children and children should not use it. Coaches enter information about the players on their team, so we ask coaches to keep that information to a minimum: a first name or initials is all the app needs.
What the app stores on your device
Everything you enter stays in the app's storage on your phone or browser. That includes:
- Team details: team name, sport, format and settings.
- Players: the names you enter, the positions they play, optional rankings and playing-time settings.
- Games and practices: lineups, rotations, who is missing, scores, player stats, notes and agendas.
- Season history and player profiles.
- Playbooks you upload (PDFs or photos). Playbooks are never sent anywhere. They stay on your device.
We don't receive this information unless you turn on live sharing or send a copy, described below.
Live sharing (optional)
Live sharing lets coaches on the same team see the same lineups, scores and stats on their own phones. It is off until you turn it on. When it's on:
- Your team's information listed above, except playbooks, is stored in a Google Firebase Realtime Database run by Google LLC on our behalf, under a random team code.
- Anyone you give the team code to can see the team, and can change what that code allows.
- Stopping live sharing disconnects every phone that joined. To have the team's online copy deleted, email us your team code (see "Deleting your data").
Send a copy
"Send a copy of this team" creates a link that contains your team's information. Anyone who has the link can load a copy. Only share it with people you trust, the same as you would a printed roster.
Subscriptions and payments
Clipboard Pro is bought through Google Play or the Apple App Store. They handle the payment, and we never see your card details. We only learn whether a subscription is active so the app can unlock Pro features.
What we don't collect
- No accounts, emails or passwords.
- No location, contacts, photos of players, or device advertising IDs.
- No analytics, crash-tracking or advertising tools.
Services that may see your IP address
Like any website or online app, some services see your device's internet (IP) address when the app or this site connects to them:
- Netlify, which hosts this website and the web version of the app.
- Google Firebase, only if live sharing is on.
- Google Fonts and cdnjs (Cloudflare), which supply fonts and the PDF viewer to the web version.
- Google Play or Apple, when you download the app or subscribe.
We don't combine this with anything else, and this website does not use cookies.
Deleting your data
- On your device: delete the team in the app, or uninstall the app. In the web version, clear the site's data in your browser.
- Live sharing data: email support@cguapp.com with your team code and we'll delete the online copy within 30 days.
- Parents: if you'd like your child's name removed, ask your coach, or email us with the team code if you have it.
How long we keep it
Live sharing data is kept while the team uses it. We may delete team data that hasn't been used for 18 months.
Security
Data is sent over encrypted connections (HTTPS). Team codes are random, but they work like a key, so treat yours like a password and stop sharing if it gets out.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we'll update the date at the top. If a change affects what we collect, we'll say so in the app's What's New tab.
